Odie male

2016-06-28

Adopted!

CongRATs to the Wunsch family!

Location: Florida

Odie is about 5 years old and weighs 10.5 pounds. His parents moved into a new house, and he wasn't allowed to go with them because of the new carpet. He was given to his owner's mother, but she lived on the 15th floor of a condo and Odie was not comfortable going up and down the elevator. That, combined with long work hours, led Odie to Ratbone Rescues. He is very cautious in new situations and needs time to warm up when he experiences change (it took him a good 24 hours to be comfortable with his fostermom), and he gives gentle kisses once he is comfortable. Odie is crate trained and loves going for walks. He pulls a bit on his walks, but settles in to a nice routine after a few moments. Odie would do best in a calm home with adults. He is delighful once he's given his trust & heart to someone new. To see more pictures of Odie, please visit his album.

Princess female

2017-12-02

Location: Florida

Princess is a very soft, pretty girl, who has had a RUFF start in life. Her owner passed away, and she and the three other dogs in the home had no family members or friends to take them in. Princess needs to feel safe and secure in order to trust people. Once she has given her trust, she likes to curl up in laps and paw a hand or leg for attention. Princess takes a little time to warm up to dogs; she seems to be more comfortable with mellow, low key dogs. She is 2 to 3 years old, and weighs 11 pounds. Princess seems to be okay with cats, but she has not been around children.

Cami Wiggles female

2016-12-23

Location: Florida

Big is Beautiful! Cami Wiggles is a wiggly, loving girl. We were alerted to a Rat Terrier on the streets of the Redlands, and we were sent a picture with just her head eating out of a bowl. Once she was taken in and scanned for a microchip, we were told Cami has to be mixed with a dachshund due to her longer than usual torso. Upon meeting this big, bold and beautiful girl, we could see that she is simply a "low-rider" Rattie; long and muscular. She is a gorgeous girl, and her personality matches her larger stature. She LOVES to play, loves to sit in laps, loves to go for walks, loves to give kisses; Cami just loves life. Anyone looking for personality plus should really check her out!

Cora female

2017-11-04

Location: Florida

Pretty little Cora is a special case. She is slow to trust, but very sweet when she becomes comfortable. Cora has a lot of energy, and is eager to please, but she gets scared easily. She needs someone dedicated and who would be willing to work with her personality. Cora gets along very well with dogs, and ignores cats. It would be in Cora's best interest to go to a home with another doggie companion - someone she can play with, but one who has a calming presence as well. Cora would do best in a home with adults only. This pretty little thing is only about a year old.

Rosalie female

2017-11-04

Adopted!

CongRATs to the Sherrer family!

Location: Florida

Rosalie's personality is very sweet and her self confidence is developing. She is crate trained, uses a doggy door, is housebroken, a good watch dog, and a good eater. Rosalie sleeps in her own bed beside her foster-parents' bed at night. This little Rose can be crated while when home alone for up to four hours, as long as she is in a room with her dog pack. She is between 1 and 2 years old, and weighs 13 pounds. Rosalie is extremely affectionate and is learning to trust. She wants to please her people, and loves to play with stuffed toys; she prefers the squeaky ones. Rosalie is not a hunter... yet. She would do well in a home with respectful and loving older children as well as gentle dog pack friends. To see more pictures of Rosalie please click here
