Jacky female

2017-09-16

Adoption Pending!

CongRATs to the Guill family!

Location: Indiana

Hi, my name is Jacky. I'm two years old, spayed, housebroken, and I walk well on a leash. I love people, especially kids. My fostermom says I'm very smart and sweet. I really like going places, and I love to talk. I definitely want a home with a family (kids, please!) who will take me places and can teach me new things. Could that be you? Look here for more pictures of me.

Hunter male

2018-02-11

Adoption Pending!

CongRATs to the McCabe family!

Location: Florida

Hunter is a sweet, submissive little guy. He ran into a cat trap because he was so starved for food. The Humane Society contacted us to rescue this little boy, and we have been showing him what love and security is all about. Hunter is 3-5 years old, and about 10 pounds. He was VERY shy when he arrived, and would always lay on his back exposing his belly. Hunter still does that with new people he meets, but in his foster home he runs around with his ears PERKED up and his tail in the air. This little boy needs a family who will love him forever and continue to show him love and security. Hunter is crate trained and working on house breaking. He seems to feel more comfortable around dogs his size & up to 25 pounds. Large dogs (like pointers) scare him, even though they are gentle, so he may have had bad experiences with large dogs in his life.

Rayna female

2017-08-12

Location: Florida

Tiny and soft spoken, three year old Rayna is a gem. This tiny creature (only 8 pounds) has eyes to make a heart melt, and an under-bite to die for. Before coming into rescue, Rayna was a street dog. She was seen scampering about in a neighborhood, always evading capture. This little sprite is fast on her feet! She was finally caught by a good Samaritan - a gentleman who works in the leasing office of a community - saw her and her daughter (Raynie) in the street, when the pup almost got run over. He quickly ran to them and scooped mama & baby up. Thus began the next chapter in Rayna's life. She is in a foster home in Florida, and she and baby Raynie are doing well. Rayna is good on a leash and loves to go for walks. Because of her history, a home with a very secure fence would be in her best interest. Apply today to give this lovely little girl a loving furever home.

Pluto male

2016-12-23

Location: Florida

Pluto came to us from a kill shelter in Alabama. He sat in the shelter for over a month, and his time was up. Pluto is about 10 months old, weighs around 12 pounds, and loves to give kisses and to play. He is a vocal boy and very handsome. Pluto is crate trained, and is looking for a home with tons of toys! Pluto would do best in a home with another playful dog, and/or someone who works from home. Pluto is the kind of dog who loves to give LOTS of kisses! Nibblets female

2016-03-30

Location: Kansas

This is little Nibblets, aka: Nibs, who can bounce like a kangaroo. She will leap for your arms if you invite her, no need to bend over to pick her up. This attention loving girl is 6-7 years old, about 11 pounds, with a long tail that wags enthusiastically. She loves sitting in a chair with someone and being petted. Nibblets will sleep quietly in the chair behind her fostermom during “computer time”. She would like to share the bed with her person, but is very good about sleeping in her own bed if told “go to bed”. Nibs loves chasing a ball or, even better, a stuffed toy, and she is good about bringing it back. She doesn’t really want to let it go, but will with a “give it” command then she bounces around, waiting for another throw. Nibblets gets along with the other dogs in her foster home and she likes the cats, who she will try to play with sometimes. She can get excited when playing, so might not be great for small children, but should be fine with school age children. Nibs is quite bright and may not work well with a fence under 6 feet; she has been able to go over a 4 foot fence (if there's anything nearby that she can use for a springboard). It is unknown if she can climb chain-link. Nibblets is not inclined to run off, but rather climbs in an effort to get back into the house. While she is well housebroken, Nibs seems to have less “holding power” than average and she is often unable to keep her crate clean overnight. For that reason she is not crated at night, but has access to a dog door, and will take herself out during the night. A dog door would be very important to her in a new home unless someone is willing to get up during the night to let her out, possibly more than once.
