Snickers female

2017-04-09

Location: Indiana

Hello, I'm Snickers. I am 6 or 7 years old, spayed, up to date on shots, and heartworm negative (I did have them, but my vet has cured me!). I lived in the back yard of a home in Owensboro, KY for my whole life. My owners never gave me preventative for heartworms, so when I got sick they dumped me at the shelter. The ladies at the shelter knew that I needed a special place, so they sent me to Indiana. I am black, white & tan, very long legged, and I am about 30 pounds of solid muscle. I love sitting on laps, catching mice, and exploring. I have a sweet disposition, but might do best in a home with no other dogs. I was so neglected that I crave all the attention I can get. I walk well on a leash, and will very happily sleep in your bed at night. My fostermom - and everyone that has met me so far - thinks I am beautiful and smart. I love riding in the car and will sit on the back seat like you're my chauffeur! You can see another photo of me here in my album. Do you have room in your heart for me?

Penny female

2017-05-14

Location: Florida

Meet Penny Ratbone! This girl is amazingly beautiful, and she has a mischievous and playful personality. Penny is the type to run out in the yard fresh after a bath - and roll in the dirt, just for fun! Penny LOVES to play with other dogs, and she is fine w/ kitties too! She is crate trained and very affectionate. Penny would do best with a secure yard to play in - she is good on a leash but likes to try to get out of her harness on walks. She is a leggy girl, weighing just under 20 pounds.Penny is about a year and a half old. To see more pictures of Penny, please click here.

Lil Red female

2017-05-14

Location: Florida

Here begins the story of Lil Red Ratbone. A fellow animal advocate saw her darting in and out between moving trucks in the Redlands (a popular dumping area in Miami). It took Isabel THREE weeks to catch Lil Red and get her to safety. This little pipsqueak is a DOLL, and she's currently enjoying the heck out of life in her foster home. Lil Red is a very small girl, and she LOVES food - probably from her days of having to scavenge for food. Lil Red is sweet, but she can be shy with new people. She'd need a family who would be willing to help her transition from her foster home to a new home.Lil Red is 1 to 2 years old, and weighs just under 10 pounds.
