Evie female

2017-11-04

Adopted!

CongRATs to the Martin family!

Location: Florida

Evie & Evan were street dogs that wandered up to a farmer's home in Southwest Florida. They were in immediate danger so we quickly scooped them up. They are about 1 year old and VERY sweet. Evie was shy at first, doing the dart back, dart forward dance, but within a few hours she was giving gentle kisses. Evie likes to look for escape routes along the fence line, so a secure yard is critical for her. She is crate trained and is starting to learn about walking on a leash. Evie has adjusted well and quickly. She is uncertain about cats so far, but she is VERY dog friendly and tries to instigate play with every dog she meets. Evie has BEAUTIFUL markings, her coat is speckled white and black, and she has "eyeliner" around her eyes. She has an under-bite and is SOOO sweet!

Link male

2018-02-11

Location: Florida

Link is a very special baby boy. He came into rescue from a very sad situation - his daddy passed away and there was no one to take in lil Link. He is now in foster care, and the once a sad defeated puppy is now a romping and running around happy pup. Link really bonds closely to the other dogs in his foster home, so we'll only accept applications with at least 1 other dog at home. Link was extremely shy until he learned how to play with dogs. He seems to feel more comfortable with women, and can be very uneasy around some men, so that is something to take into consideration to anyone thinking of adopting him. Link is crate trained and almost completely house broken. He likes to sleep curled up next to another dog at night, and even cuddles with cats. Linky thinks the best thing in the world is a random, everyday stick he picks up in the yard. He gleefully runs around the yard with them, and tries to bring them inside. Other favorite toys are Nylabones and crinkly toys for tug of war. Link is around 8 to 9 months old now, and weighs 10 pounds.

Harley male

2017-11-04

Location: Florida

Handsome Harley is looking for LOVE! This pretty boy and his twin (Marley) were surrendered to our rescue because they were chasing their former owners chickens. They lived mostly outdoors, so they are getting used to inside living. Both boys were very afraid of large dogs, but after they got comfortable with their big Auntie Dixie they realized what fun it can be to lay on, chew back legs and play catch me if you can with big dogs! This pup could really use loving adopters where he would be spoiled to the moon and back.

Odie male

2016-06-28

Adopted!

CongRATs to the Wunsch family!

Location: Florida

Odie is about 5 years old and weighs 10.5 pounds. His parents moved into a new house, and he wasn't allowed to go with them because of the new carpet. He was given to his owner's mother, but she lived on the 15th floor of a condo and Odie was not comfortable going up and down the elevator. That, combined with long work hours, led Odie to Ratbone Rescues. He is very cautious in new situations and needs time to warm up when he experiences change (it took him a good 24 hours to be comfortable with his fostermom), and he gives gentle kisses once he is comfortable. Odie is crate trained and loves going for walks. He pulls a bit on his walks, but settles in to a nice routine after a few moments. Odie would do best in a calm home with adults. He is delighful once he's given his trust & heart to someone new. To see more pictures of Odie, please visit his album.
