Adoption Pending!

CongRATs to the Hill-Ramp family!

Location: Texas

Hey everybody, I'm glad to see you looking at my picture! I'm cute and sweet to boot. I'm pretty smart, too. I am nine years old but play like a puppy. I weigh about 11 pounds. I used to live in Indiana with Ripley, but we're in Texas now (which also happens to be where we were both born; we're not related, tho). I like the other doggies here and they are fun to play with. I don't have to rip the stuffings out of my toys, I can just shake them out - really! Ripley and I walk on a leash together and have nice manners. I am learning to use the doggie door, but I am fully house trained and never have accidents inside. In my younger days, I won several agility competitions and I am a very smart little gal! I will get in a crate if you want me to. Oh - and I recently had my teeth cleaned, and I'm in excellent health. Here's my album, in case you want to see more pictures. I would love to have a new home, could it be with you?

Squirt male

2008-08-26

Location: Florida

Hi, My name is Squirt. I am a very smart and loyal dog. I'm 7 years old and weigh about 10 pounds. I know how to sit, wait for a treat on command, and I use the outside to take care of neccessities. I love to "sunbathe", go for walks, visit the doggie park and play with my doggie toys. I do very well going to PetSmart to get my bath and nails trimmed. I also do very well when I have to visit the vet. My Mom says I am great company. I like to sit and watch TV and to sleep with humans. I especially like it when Mom gives me a soft, fluffy blanket to lay on! I will beg for human food, but I will get a stomach ache if I eat the human food. My Mom feeds me crunchy doggie food (yum, yum!). Oh - and I love to get belly rubs! Whenever my Mom has to be away I spend the days at the vet's "hotel". I will bark at someone riding a bicycle, but if the person riding a bike has a dog with him/her, I do not bark. I also will bark if I hear unusual noises, and I may or may not bark if someone rings the doorbell. I used to bark at squirrels but I learned that they can climb trees and I can't - so now I leave them alone. I have never been around cats before. I've been around a few kids, though I may not like it if they bother me. I am just a great little dog, looking for a great family to love me and take care of me.
Note: This is a Guardian Assistance Placement (GAP) Program dog, meaning he/she has been fortunate enough to remain in his/her home while looking for his/her new home. Veterinary records have been verified, but we must rely on input from the owner for information on behavior and temperament.

Louie Udin male

2010-02-22

Location: New York

Louie Udin is an amazingly friendly dog who is very loved by his current owners. They know they can’t provide him with the attention he needs and deserves, and so they want to be sure he goes to the right family. Louie does need lots of attention, either from his owners or from a dog companion. He is jealous of the attention that his current owners give to their two young children, but he is never aggressive towards them, and does love children. Louie needs plenty of exercise daily. His current owners live in a small apartment in the city and work long hours, so Louie is overweight due to lack of exercise. His current owners feel strongly that Louie’s new family be able to exercise him regularly and provide him with the attention he is lacking. Louie would do best in a home with people who have previous experience with dogs, as he thrives with the stimulation and training that only experienced dog owners can provide. Louie can reliably stay home alone for long periods of time, but he has been known to chew up stuffed animals and wooden (children's) toys if he gets worried that his owners have been gone for too long. He is crate-trained, but he is allowed free run of the house at this time (though he could adjust to staying in a crate again). Louie is a curious dog, so he should not be let off of his leash; he has been known to escape from backyards that are not fully fenced. He gets along well with most other dogs.
Note: This dog is a "Guardian Assistance Placement" dog, meaning he/she is being cared for in a home that is not affiliated with Ratbone Rescues. The guardian has supplied vet records and signed an agreement giving Ratbone the right and responsibility to rehome the dog, but Ratbone does not have physical custody and cannot otherwise vouch for any of the information provided.

Penny female

2010-07-02

Location: Virginia

My name is Penny and I am 6 years old. I am not very active and will sit with my person forever. I love to get as close to you as possible and will lay right on top of you, if you let me. I like to chase squirrels with the other dogs but will still look for someone to walk with me. When I am in a crate, I will bury my treat in the blankets. I don’t like to be left alone very often. I will sit right beside you in the car. I look older than I am because my face is brown and white, and I have suffered some trauma to my muzzle. I have a few scars, but my foster mom says that gives me character. I am 14 pounds and love everyone, but you must go slow with me so I know you won’t hurt me. I sleep in the big bed with everyone, and I love to go for walks. I don’t chase the cats that live with me. I will bring a smile to your face the minute you see me. Does someone want a constant companion that can go everywhere with you?

Paulie male

2007-09-28

Location: Texas

Paulie is a male Rat Terrier (possibly a Decker), about 18 months old but already 20 pounds of big boy. He was found as a stray in Texas. Paulie has SOOO much energy! He is playful and friendly and would very much enjoy a doggie brother or sister who can match his energy level, but would be overwhelming for a much older dog. He is OK with cats and is very good with people, though his energy level could be too much for young kids. Paulie is leash trained and needs a large fenced yard as well as a family who can devote lots of love and playtime to him. He sleeps in his crate, though is anxious to get out in the morning. Although he has had a couple of accidents indoors in his fosterhome, he is doing well with housetraining. He is a big friendly puppy with a tendency to chew, but does understand "no!" when he is caught red-handed. This big boy has a docked tail, very long body, and extremely long legs.
