Princess Leia female

2017-09-04

Location: Oklahoma

Princess Leia and her brothers were abandoned at a restaurant in rural NE Louisiana. They were brought to Oklahoma by volunteer transport on July 13th, at the age of about 8 weeks (our vet's best guess). Leia is quite a little pistol. At the age of 10 weeks she was climbing out of the playpen to run wild in the house (though she didn't chew the furniture or other inappropriate items). Crate training began early with this girl (since she wouldn't stay where she was supposed to on her own); house breaking is going very well, too. Leia loves all the other dogs, and likes to annoy the cats when possible. When held she will tuck her head under your chin and snuggle close. Leia's a little sensitive to scolding, but she's not a timid puppy at all. Because Leia might be mixed with Beagle, we're not sure how big they'll be when grown; right now Leia weighs 10 pounds, so an adult weight between 16 and 24 pounds would not be unexpected. Cami Wiggles female

2016-12-23

Location: Florida

Big is Beautiful! Cami Wiggles is a wiggly, loving girl. We were alerted to a Rat Terrier on the streets of the Redlands, and we were sent a picture with just her head eating out of a bowl. Once she was taken in and scanned for a microchip, we were told Cami has to be mixed with a dachshund due to her longer than usual torso. Upon meeting this big, bold and beautiful girl, we could see that she is simply a "low-rider" Rattie; long and muscular. She is a gorgeous girl, and her personality matches her larger stature. She LOVES to play, loves to sit in laps, loves to go for walks, loves to give kisses; Cami just loves life. Anyone looking for personality plus should really check her out!

Cocoa & Buddy T female

2017-01-14

Location: Florida

Cute Cocoa (brown) and handsome Buddy T (black tri-color) are a bonded pair. They were at the Broward Humane Society for some time, and were adopted a few times, but returned based on different reasons (moving, not enough time, allergies). They are very close to each other, so we'd love them to get a home together but it is not a requirement. They are crate trained and LOVE sleeping snuggled together in a doggie bed.
Cocoa is 1-2 years old, a sassy little Chihuahua mix. Her hair coat is full & thick, and she likes to be the boss of Buddy. Cocoa was very leery of other dogs when she first arrived in foster care, but now she bounces around with the other dogs - and especially Cami Wiggles, who is more than 3 times her size. Cocoa tolerates kitties, and can get along now with most dogs. She loves to give kisses. Cocoa is a "medium energy" dog.
Buddy T is a handsome Rat Terrier, 4-5 years of age. He's a very sweet boy, who loves to hang close to his foster family. Buddy loves Cocoa very much, but shies away from other dogs, though he's good with kitties. Buddy can go on walks and integrate well with other dogs, but if they try to play with him he runs away. He eats side by side with Cocoa, and even lets her eat out of his bowl because she is a lil piggy. Buddy is mild mannered, and "low energy".

Becky Blossom female

2014-08-12

Location: Indiana

My name is Becky Blossom, and I'm about 4 years old, spayed, and working on house training. I am a Rattie-Chihuahua mix. I like my fostermom a lot, and love to sit on her lap. I came from a very dysfunctional home, so I scare easily. My fostermom has taken things very slowly with me, and I'm starting to come around and be a friendly, good girl. I don't know much about walking on a leash, but I am willing to work on it; I have improved a lot since I got my new home. I love my fellow fosterRat, Marvin - who was one of my friends at my former home; my vet thinks Marvin may be my father. I will need a house with a fenced in yard, as I may run away if something scares me. Here is my photo album (tho I don't like my picture taken much). Do you have a place in your heart for me? I bet with time I could be your very best friend in all the world.
