Harley male

2017-11-04

Location: Florida

Handsome Harley is looking for LOVE! This pretty boy and his twin (Marley) were surrendered to our rescue because they were chasing their former owners chickens. They lived mostly outdoors, so they are getting used to inside living. Both boys were very afraid of large dogs, but after they got comfortable with their big Auntie Dixie they realized what fun it can be to lay on, chew back legs and play catch me if you can with big dogs! This pup could really use loving adopters where he would be spoiled to the moon and back.

Odie male

2016-06-28

Adopted!

CongRATs to the Wunsch family!

Location: Florida

Odie is about 5 years old and weighs 10.5 pounds. His parents moved into a new house, and he wasn't allowed to go with them because of the new carpet. He was given to his owner's mother, but she lived on the 15th floor of a condo and Odie was not comfortable going up and down the elevator. That, combined with long work hours, led Odie to Ratbone Rescues. He is very cautious in new situations and needs time to warm up when he experiences change (it took him a good 24 hours to be comfortable with his fostermom), and he gives gentle kisses once he is comfortable. Odie is crate trained and loves going for walks. He pulls a bit on his walks, but settles in to a nice routine after a few moments. Odie would do best in a calm home with adults. He is delighful once he's given his trust & heart to someone new. To see more pictures of Odie, please visit his album.

Mario male

2017-12-02

Location: Florida

Seniors for Seniors Candidate
Mario is a lucky lil pupper; he survived Hurricane Irma. He is very sweet, and has adjusted quickly to his foster home. Mario takes his time getting used to new doggie friends, and shies away from hyper dogs. Mario loves to go for walks, and he makes little noises of joy while walking. This is a beautiful Rat Terrier, and very attentive - especially when a T-R-E-A-T is involved. Mario showed signs of flea and/or food allergies when he was originally rescued, but his coat is much healthier now. We believe Mario to be 7 years of age, perhaps a little older.

Trigger male

2018-02-11

Location: Florida

Trigger came to us right before Christmas. He and his sister were surrendered to rescue because the family could no longer take care of their dogs, and the holidays were coming. Trigger is a very sweet boy, and really loves to have a doggie companion close by. Trigger is crate trained, walks well on a leash, and LOVES to be carried and cuddled. He is afraid of loud noises like fireworks and loud thunderstorms. Trigger is 6-7 months old and around 13 pounds. We call Trigger & his sister "the Spaghetti"s because they have long, graceful, thin legs.

Blaze male

2016-09-18

Location: Indiana

I am 6-7 years old, tall and long legged. I like to take walks. I am, of course, housebroken, and I keep my crate spotless! I like girl dogs but not boy dogs. I don't like small children very much, because I lived in a home with two little ones, and they liked to bother me. My fostermom thinks I would do best as an only dog, or maybe I can tolerate living in a home with a girl dog. I would probably do best with a fenced yard, but I can be walked if you don't have a fence. I think I'd be a good match for adults who like to take walks, so I can explore. It took me awhile to get used to my fostermom, but now I really like her and give her nice kisses when she asks. I weigh about 15 pounds. Here is a link to my photo album. I could be a great dog for the right person. Is that you?
