Mr Kip male

2016-08-24

Location: Florida

Mr. Kip is an energetic Decker Rat Terrier mix. He loves walks and also loves to play fetch. Kip is a very affectionate dog and loves a good snuggle. He's house broken and kennel trained. Kip is current on vaccinations and is on Heartgard and Bravecto flea and tick preventative. He can be a bit jealous and should go to a home where he is the only dog. Mr. Kip is a wonderful dog and will be a great pet for the right person. Mr Kip is 6 years old, and weighs 45 pounds. More pictures of Kip can be seen here in his album.
Note: This is a Guardian Assistance Placement (GAP) Program dog, meaning he/she has been fortunate enough to remain in his/her current home while looking for a new home. Veterinary records have been verified, but we rely on input from the owner for information on behavior and temperament.

Machete male

Location: Florida

Seniors for Seniors Candidate
Hey there! My name was Machete, but my foster peeps call me Big Mac. I am so lucky to be a Ratbone Rescues dog! My human parent passed away and I was living outside on a patio by myself (my parent's family would stop by once a day to feed and water me). I hadn't had any vet care in many years, and really needed a good check up. I have gotten used to eating beans and rice, so having to switch to dog food wasn't fun, but I like when special treats like canned food are added to my meals. I've been told I'm overweight, and I have been put on a diet. Being so heavy isn't good for me, and I don't understand why they say I have rolls. I am very social, and love people and doggies but i cannot STAND those things called cats. No cats for me! Anyway, thanks for reading all about me, I am looking for a family to love me forever. Oh - here's a link to my photo album. By the way - I am only 9 years young!

Harley male

2017-11-04

Location: Florida

Handsome Harley is looking for Love! This pretty boy and his twin (Marley) were surrendered to our rescue because they were chasing their former owner's chickens. They lived mostly outdoors, so they are getting lessons on "inside living". Both boys are afraid of large dogs, and could really use loving adopters where they would be the only pet, so they can get spoiled to the moon and back. Harley is 5 months old.

Odie male

2016-06-28

Location: Florida

Odie is about 5 years old and weighs 10.5 pounds. His parents moved into a new house, and he wasn't allowed to go with them because of the new carpet. He was given to his owner's mother, but she lived on the 15th floor of a condo and Odie was not comfortable going up and down the elevator. That, combined with long work hours, led Odie to Ratbone Rescues. He is very cautious in new situations and needs time to warm up when he experiences change (it took him a good 24 hours to be comfortable with his fostermom), and he gives gentle kisses once he is comfortable. Odie is crate trained and loves going for walks. He pulls a bit on his walks, but settles in to a nice routine after a few moments. Odie would do best in a calm home with adults. He is delighful once he's given his trust & heart to someone new. To see more pictures of Odie, please visit his album.

Gator male

2017-08-12

Adopted!

CongRATs to the Bannon family!

Location: Florida

Gator is a recent rescue. This malnourished, but beautiful, 1 year old boy was found when a member of the local SPCA went to save some emaciated horses in NW Miami. We were told about him on a Friday night, and made plans to collect him Saturday afternoon. Gator is a VERY sweet boy, who loves to give kisses and stick close to his fostermom. He gets along fine with the other dogs who are his size, but seems a little intimidated by large dogs at the moment. Gator is fine with kitties. He is learning about walking on a leash, and he is crate trained. Gator needs to gain some weight, and needs lots of love and cuddles to make him happy.
