Mable came to Ratbone Rescues after her owner passed away. She has been in her foster home for a few years now, and is looking for her forever home. Mable’s weight stays around 15 pounds. She is very well mannered and leash trained; when walking, if the leash touches her backside she will stop and sit, and move only when told to do so. Mable likes to sleep curled up in her own bed (she doesn't like crates), but will jump in bed with you during thunderstorms. She loves to have her belly rubbed, go for long walks in the park, and lay around. Mable is not a barker, unless someone is at the door or in her yard. If a dog could be described as a perfect little lady – that description would fit Mable. Children love her, as do the adults who meet her. She does not play with toys or other dogs, and seems to be a loner - although the younger foster dog in the home follows her around (which Mable doesn't seem to mind). Mable will be 13 years old in 2015, and she wears her age very well. As you can see, she has a beautiful face and eyes, and with her gentle personality she is a favorite with visitors. Mable is a sweet, lovable dog, looking for that special someone to spend her time with. Would that be you?

Brina is an 11 year old diva. She was adopted from Ratbone Rescues 10 years ago, and was recently returned. Her adopter was experiencing major health issues and could no longer take care of her. It was not easy for her adopter to return her, but she had to do what was best for herself, and for Brina. Our Brina is the type of girl who likes to go for short walks (not long ones!), but she likes to go out when she very well feels like it! She is good on a leash, but will let you know when she wants to go back inside. Brina loves her crate, but likes to "try out" other crates and beds, too! She is social with dogs when she gets to know them, but was used to being an "only child". Brina doesn't like cats - but the worst she will do is bark at them if they come too close. Ms Brina is looking for her special retirement home, one where people will cater to her, put pretty collars on her, and get her lots of comfy doggie beds. She was very overweight when we picked her up, which is not good for an older gal, and she is doing well on a diet. To see more pictures of our beautiful girl, please use this link.

My name is Marvin, and I'm 7 years old. I came from a terrible home, along with my fellow fosterRat, Becky Blossom. Things are pretty calm around my fostermom's house, though. We get to go outside and play, and we also get to have plenty to eat and drink. Our fostermom gives us lots of positive reinforcement when we do good things, too. I am learning to walk on a leash; it was very hard for me to do in the beginning. I didn't know what it was and what I was supposed to do, but I found out that it meant going outside and maybe also going somewhere in the car, so I'm fairly fine with it now. I like to sleep on the sofa and go explore the yard. I also like treats! I may need a fenced in yard since, like Becky Blossom, I get scared of things. Even with that, I'm a good boy who will love whoever adopts me very much. You can see my other pictures here.
