Pluto male

2016-12-23

Location: Florida

Pluto came to us from a kill shelter in Alabama. He sat in the shelter for over a month, and his time was up. Pluto is about 10 months old, weighs around 12 pounds, and loves to give kisses and to play. He is a vocal boy and very handsome. Pluto is crate trained, and is looking for a home with tons of toys! Pluto would do best in a home with another playful dog, and/or someone who works from home. Pluto is the kind of dog who loves to give LOTS of kisses! Evan male

2017-11-04

Adopted!

CongRATs to the Kraemmer family!

Location: Florida

Evan & Evie were street dogs that wandered up to a farmer's home in southwest Florida. They were in immediate danger, so we quickly scooped them up. Evan is about 1 year old and VERY sweet. He was shy at first, doing the dart back, dart forward dance, but within a few hours he was giving gentle kisses. Evan had a wound on his chest, so he was treated as soon as we got him. He is crate trained and walks well on a leash. Evan has adjusted well and quickly to life in his foster home. He is uncertain about cats so far, but he is VERY dog friendly, and tries to instigate play with every dog he meets. Evan has GORGEOUS markings; his coat is mostly black, with some brindle and white spots.

Metro male

2018-02-11

Location: Florida

This HANDSOME dude is Metro! We rescued Metro from a high kill shelter in Miami in December 2017. Metro LOVES treats and will SIT and LAY DOWN for a cookie. Metro seems to be okay with cats, and he gets along with mellow, laid back dogs. He would do great as an only dog, or as a companion to an older, sweet dog. He interacts with other dogs but gets very nervous around hyper or loud dogs. Metro is afraid of loud noises, so a home without toddlers may be best. Metro is 3-5 years old, and close to 17 pounds. He is a GORGEOUS dog, and would love to have a home with lots of toys, treats and doggie beds.

Marley male

2017-11-04

Location: Florida

Marley is mega adorable! This pretty boy and his twin (Harley) were surrendered to our rescue because they were chasing their former owners chickens. They lived mostly outdoors, so they are getting used to inside living. Both boys were very afraid of large dogs, but after they got comfortable with their big Auntie Dixie they realized what fun it can be to lay on, chew back legs and race with big dogs! These pup could really use loving adopters where they would be spoiled to the moon and back. Marley is the shorter of the 2 brothers and he has a noticeable overbite. He is very wiggly and a happy boy.

Rusty male

2015-05-25

Location: Idaho

Seniors for Seniors Candidate
This is Rusty. He will turn 8 years old in June (2016). Rusty is a neutered Rat Terrier. He is current on shots. Rusty is a twenty pound Dynamo. He has striking looks, yes, but a remarkable personality too! Rusty is very funny and lively. He has high energy, is an active little guy, and needs mental stimulation and lots of physical activity. Rusty is also a major love bug who not only loves to be held and cuddled, but he frequently asks to be picked up. Of course, like most Rat Terriers, he wants to sleep between the covers and share your bed pillow. Rusty is a clean boy who bathes himself and enjoys tub-baths; we do not know if he likes to swim. He loves to run and needs a chance to dig some holes. Rusty needs land - some property - to be happy. He is a compulsive healer and would make an excellent therapy dog. Rusty would love agility or any other kind of daily training and exercise program; he needs a job or hobby to fulfill his potential. Rusty is vocal and "talks". His vocalizations have given us great delight for nearly 8 years. Rusty is great with people, very friendly, and likes kids too - if they respect him and know how to approach a dog. He did great with the three elderly female dogs that were in his pack, but not so much with adult male dogs. He has been spoiled and he is a dog with a strong, dominant personality. He has been too aggressive with his special needs brother (a very spooky boy) and his elderly brother recently, which has forced his family to find him a new home. Rusty is an excellent housemate; he has never been destructive, and actually still has most of his original toys. He loves to play with toys, do puzzles, find treats, run, be with his people, learn new things and go for walks. Rusty is an extraordinary dog with huge potential. The ideal personal companion! Rusty is NOT good with cats at all, and he needs to be an only dog. If you have space, time and energy to give this boy, he will give you a lifetime of joy and laughter. Rusty is pure delight! Note: This is a Guardian Assistance Placement (GAP) Program dog, meaning he/she has been fortunate enough to remain in his/her current home while looking for a new home. Veterinary records have been verified, but we must rely on input from the owner for information on behavior and temperament.
