Baylee female

2018-02-11

Location: Florida

Baylee is a cute lil varmint! She LOVES to give kisses, and play play play. Baylee is a burrower; she NEEDS to burrow under the covers at night, and she is an awesome cuddler! Baylee gets along with dogs and cats, though she will sometimes try to get her kitty cousins to run so she can chase them when she is bored. Baylee is crate trained and really loves attention. She has an adorable brindled face, and her hair coat has just a touch of something wavy in it. Baylee is approximately 10 months old and weighed in recently at 11 1/2 pounds.

Sugar Mama female

2017-08-12

Location: Florida

Seniors for Seniors Candidate
This is Sugar Mama, an 8 to 10 year old purebred Rat Terrier. Sugar Mama came from a hoarding situation. In the pictures shown on her intake shelter listing, her sad and shut-down eyes broke our hearts. When we picked her up from the volunteer transport, and we saw how INCREDIBLY SWEET she is, we were instantly under her spell. Though it may be true that older, obese dogs aren't as "adoptable" as young small ones, there certainly hasn't been anyone sweeter than this fine lady. She will literally knock her human adult foster family members over to give them kisses when they bend down to love on her. Sugar, Sugs, Sugar Lumps. Sugar Mama is very dog friendly, and loves kitties. She currently weighs about 30 pounds, but is on a diet & exersize program to help her get healthy and fit. Sugar CAN be shy with new people, but once they get close to her they'd better PREPARE TO GET KISSES!!! This girl is a GEM!

Rayna female

2017-08-12

Location: Florida

Tiny and soft spoken, three year old Rayna is a gem. This tiny creature (only 8 pounds) has eyes to make a heart melt, and an under-bite to die for. Before coming into rescue, Rayna was a street dog. She was seen scampering about in a neighborhood, always evading capture. This little sprite is fast on her feet! She was finally caught by a good Samaritan - a gentleman who works in the leasing office of a community - saw her and her daughter (Raynie) in the street, when the pup almost got run over. He quickly ran to them and scooped mama & baby up. Thus began the next chapter in Rayna's life. She is in a foster home in Florida, and she and baby Raynie are doing well. Rayna is good on a leash and loves to go for walks. Because of her history, a home with a very secure fence would be in her best interest. Apply today to give this lovely little girl a loving furever home.

Nibblets female

2016-03-30

Location: Kansas

This is little Nibblets, aka: Nibs, who can bounce like a kangaroo. She will leap for your arms if you invite her, no need to bend over to pick her up. This attention loving girl is 6-7 years old, about 11 pounds, with a long tail that wags enthusiastically. She loves sitting in a chair with someone and being petted. Nibblets will sleep quietly in the chair behind her fostermom during “computer time”. She would like to share the bed with her person, but is very good about sleeping in her own bed if told “go to bed”. Nibs loves chasing a ball or, even better, a stuffed toy, and she is good about bringing it back. She doesn’t really want to let it go, but will with a “give it” command then she bounces around, waiting for another throw. Nibblets gets along with the other dogs in her foster home and she likes the cats, who she will try to play with sometimes. She can get excited when playing, so might not be great for small children, but should be fine with school age children. Nibs is quite bright and may not work well with a fence under 6 feet; she has been able to go over a 4 foot fence (if there's anything nearby that she can use for a springboard). It is unknown if she can climb chain-link. Nibblets is not inclined to run off, but rather climbs in an effort to get back into the house. While she is well housebroken, Nibs seems to have less “holding power” than average and she is often unable to keep her crate clean overnight. For that reason she is not crated at night, but has access to a dog door, and will take herself out during the night. A dog door would be very important to her in a new home unless someone is willing to get up during the night to let her out, possibly more than once. Dottie female

2017-05-14

Location: Florida

Our beautiful Dottie comes to us from a farm in South Florida. A group of Rat Terriers were living outside, and the people wanted someone to get the dogs off the property. Dottie is a gorgeous girl, who came to us with two 10 week old puppies. Dottie was a very good mom, and loved her puppies very much. Dottie is a dog that needs to learn to trust people; living outside with very little human interaction was hard on her. Dottie is mild mannered and very sweet, and she's only 2 years old. Treats really win her over, and she loves to be scratched behind the ears. Dottie is crate trained, and she is learning about leash manners. She has a beautiful soul, and you can see her soul in her gorgeous eyes. To see more pictures of Dottie, please use this link.
