AJ male

2015-12-27

Location: Florida

AJ is an amazingly sweet boy! He is mostly Rat Terrier, with the possibility of Beagle in the mix. AJ is on the chunky side, but the weight looks good on him. He gets along great with dogs and cats, and loves most everyone he meets except for people in uniform. AJ loves long or short walks, snuggling on the couch, and toys! He is a very attentive boy - very easy to care for and love. AJ weighs 23-25 pounds. To see more pictures of AJ please click here.

Cricket Lee female

2016-05-02

Location: Indiana

My name is Cricket Lee, and I am about 2 years old. I came to my foster home in south Indiana from Davies County, KY. My fostermom received no info about me, so she can only tell you what she has personally learned about me so far! I am spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, walk nicely on a leash, and I am housebroken. I am a "people pleaser", but I don't like dogs and cats much. I love to sit on my fostermom's lap or snuggle in the bed or chair with her. I am an explorer, and I love look all day long for mice and other varmints. I'm very fast; I caught 2 mice in one day, and I could probably catch a squirrel! I love to explore, but I will come right back when called. My fostermom says I am smart and very pretty. I have a long tail and big ears that stand straight up. I also like to go on car rides! You can see more pictures of me in my photo album. Do you have room in your heart for me?

Nemo male

2016-05-25

Location: Florida

Nemo is a very special little 2 year old boy. We saw his picture at a high kill shelter, and saw that both of his rear legs were broken. We knew he'd need tons of TLC and 2 very expensive surgeries, but we knew his time was short, and we wanted to save him. We got him to a vet for xrays and contacted a few orthopedic vets to see which one would best suit Nemo's unique needs. We have thankfully raised the funds to pay half of his total bill , and he is doing GREAT post-surgery! Nemo is walking great on all 4 legs, and he is raring to go go go! He is on leash-walk restriction through his recovery period. We are taking applications on this special small boy, but he will not be ready to go to his new home until after his complete recovery period, in mid to late May. Donations are graciously accepted towards Nemo's orthopedic surgeries here. More pictures of Nemo can be seen here in his photo album.

Lani female

2014-07-30

Location: Florida

Seniors for Seniors Candidate
Lani is short for Solana, which is a Native American word for sunshine. It’s the perfect name for a gal who loves to lay by the pool and nap in the sun. While retired and living in Florida now, Lani’s beginnings were quite different. Through research we have found that she is the result of the breeding of two NRTA foundation stock Rat Terriers. Her bloodline is 71.87% Decker. Her dam is Sycamore Flats Jackie and her sire is Sycamore Flats Tuffy. Lani was born 4/26/03, is 17.5 inches at the withers, and a skinny 25 pounds. She is sweet and gentle. Lani gets along well with her foster siblings but has been unsuccessful at getting them to play with her. She is a finicky eater, and requires a grain free diet to avoid skin irritation. During Lani's first couple of months in foster care she lived with cats and wanted to chase them, but she did not harm them. More photos of Lani are available here.

Diva female

2016-08-14

Location: Florida

Diva and her siblings were born June 24th, 2016. We were blessed with a litter of 5 plump and healthy babies. Because of their coloring, we think their daddies were an Australian Cattle Dog, and possibly a Border Collie. Diva was the fourth pup to be born AND our only girl! From the minute she came out, she was talkative - and complaining! - so her fostermom chose the name DIVA for her out of all of the girlie names she had written on a list. Being the only girl, she would be a diva or a tomboy, and she is quite girly. Diva was born all white with 2 black patches on her face, and now she has a mottled black white and gray coat. Her fostermom loves to kiss her plump puppy belly, and Diva LOVES it! She also loves having her belly rubbed, being held, and getting lots of kisses. Diva and her siblings have met kitties in their playroom, and they love to rough and tumble. Whereas this little cutie will be a little larger than your average Rat Terriers, she is a wonderfully happy, healthy, adorable, rolly polly puppy, and should be sturdy enough to play with even young children. To see more of Diva and her siblings please click here. Apply today to add a little DIVA love to your life!
