Snickers male

2010-09-03

Location: New York

My name is Snickers Ratbone! I am approximately 5 years young (my fostermom thinks younger, cuz I am such an active, happy guy!!). I weigh about 23 pounds and may have some Decker in me, or maybe I'm mixed with something else - I'm not too sure, because I came from a North Carolina shelter, and came all the way up to NY to my new fosterhome. My fostermom is working on my manners, because unfortunately I was in the shelter a very long time and I'm having to learn how to behave properly around people again. I am a very happy-go-lucky boy who loves to play and exercise. I am crate trained and house broken. My fostermom is working on leash training, cuz she says I pull too hard - but I love long walks!! I get along great with other dogs, as I'm in a pack of 8 dogs right now. My fostermom isn't sure about cats or kids, but she thinks I would be fine because I don't have an aggressive bone in my body! If you're looking for a very active, happy dog, I'm your boy!!

Cy male

2010-08-25

Location: North Carolina

Hi, I'm Cy! I had a rough start to life but I have been rescued and I am looking for a new home with warm beds, good food and good company. I am a sweet young man, about 2 years old. Due to some neglect early in my life my top little teeth are missing but all my other teeth got cleaned, and the vet said my mouth checked out fine. I am a small, petite fellow. I weigh around 11 pounds now, but I still need to gain a bit a more. I didn't get much to eat in my former life, so I am working on putting on weight. Even though I didn't get a lot to eat before I am more than willing to share my food with my pals. I ignore all the crazy cats that live here, and I enjoy tennis balls and playing with my foster brother. I am very friendly and alert. I seem to understand the concept of going outside to do my business. I really enjoy sitting on laps and being involved in everything that is going on. Oh, and I like to sleep in my crate at night. You just point to it and I go in and sleep peacefully all night! I am such a great kid and I just want a place who will give me the love I soooooo want and need. That reminds me, I like kids too, well at least my 7 1/2 yr old neighbor girl. I was so excited to meet her and I gave her lots of kisses. If you want to see how cute I really am and how I looked before check my pics! And I have a video, too! If you think I am the dog for you fill out an application! You won't be disappointed!

Koko male

Adopted!

CongRATs to the Ullery family!

Location: Pennsylvania

Dear Santa,
You need to get me out of here! It's July and my fosterMom said to write you a letter asking for a home of my own. I think she's gone of the deep end! I might be young but I know you come in the cold month of December. Let me tell ya, Santa - she has a tree up and everything, said I need to get use to it. Just so you know Santa I am a good boy and do what I am told.
I am going to be 2 years old on July 28th. I'm completely housetrained and play well with other dogs - and there is a bunch here! I just don't like BIG dogs - cause they scare me a little. I prefer dogs my size or smaller.
I currently reside with my fosterMom and foster brothers and sister. We are all Rat Terriers and we all like to play "Rattie 500" in the house! Mama calls us her herd because two is "a couple", three is "a pack" and anything over four is "a HERD"! There is six of us; here right now: five boys and one "Queen-bee" girl. FosterMama calls me the runt.
I am very well behaved and love to play fetch. I really like soft squeaky toys. I'll sleep in my crate if you put my favorite bed in there for me to cuddle up in, but I would prefer to sleep with my human. I don't mind riding in the car or going for walks.
I am a beautiful Red Chocolate with a white star on my chest. I am the perfect weight of 7 pounds. My little bones wouldn't hold much more.
I absolutely love being around kids because they give constant attention and love. So if you have room in your heart and home please take a look at me. I would really like a place of my own to call home.
XOXO
KoKo
P.S. Santa could you please put a rush on it? I'm scared of that little snowman sweater she's got in her hands.

Bama's Boys male

2010-08-25

Location: Florida

Athos, Porthos, Aramis, and Killian: Porthos and his brothers are sweet little boys whose Mommy was pregnant and rescued from life on the streets by a wonderful lady in Alabama. Their mama (Bama) gave birth to 5 puppies: 4 boys and 1 girl. Athos, Porthos, Aramis and Killian are all precious little boys. They were born on July 13, 2010. They are being trained to potty pads and paper at this time and are starting to look for their very own forever homes. All the puppies are loving little ones and just love to be held and climb on their people. Porthos is a happy, bouncy boy who loves to give kisses. Killian loves to be held close and snuggle under your chin. Athos likes to climb in your lap and to try to suckle your toes. Aramis is a little lover boy who wants to be held every time he sees you. His nubby just wags and wags as he gives kisses. They are eating dry food now and about the first to middle of October they will be neutered and ready for their new families to take them home. These are Rattie mix puppies and are sweet and loving; they have done well spending small amounts of time with their 2 foster sisters. They have not been around small children or cats. They should do well with older children who understand that small puppies sometimes nip when playing and mean no harm. The pups are starting to learn the “no bite” command which their foster parents use when they nip them in play. Supervision between puppies and children is always recommended. Are you looking for a new furry family member? Do you have the time and love that training a small puppy takes? If so, then please apply today, any delay may be too late for you to adopt one of these precious babies. Puppies get adopted quickly so put your application in now to get the pup of your choice. Don’t delay, apply today! For more photos please visit their image event album.

Zoe female

2010-03-07

Adoption Pending!

CongRATs to the Beussink family!

Location: California

Zoe lives in Sacramento, CA. We're not really sure how old she is, but the vet guessed somewhere around 11 to 13 years old. Not much about her past is known; she was found as a stray, with wounds to her head and neck a couple of years ago. Zoe has fully recovered but does snore and grunt due to some damage to her trachea, and she has to wear a harness instead of a collar when walking on a leash. Zoe weighs 12 pounds and is a "teddy-type". She is house and crate trained and loves to ride in the car. Zoe does very well on a leash, and loves other dogs and cats. She does ok with children but will go into another room if they get too rough with her. Zoe loves to greet visitors, and wants to be in someone's lap as much as possible! She is like a big teddy bear and loves to cuddle. If you have room in your heart for this sweet little senior girl, she would love to have a family of her own to live out the rest of her life with... and to share all the love that she has.
