Available Dogs
Coco

2009-07-30
|
Location: California
Meet Coco. She lives in Sacramento, CA. Coco is about 7 years old, weighs 8 pounds, and is house trained. Coco does very well with the other dogs in the home and is ok with cats, but Coco does not like children. She loves to play with toys and chases birds in the yard, playfully. Coco loves to cuddle with her person and likes to sleep under the covers at night, if she is allowed. She does well in the car but will fight a leash, because the "big bad world" scares her; Coco would rather stay at home and run around the yard, or sit in your lap. Coco is pretty much a "one person" dog; once she attaches herself to you, she will protect you against everyone. In her foster home, if someone comes by, she has to go into her crate while they are visiting, or she will attempt to snap at their ankles. Coco would make a very good companion for an older person who lives alone, or a couple who do not travel a lot. If you think Coco would fit into your life - or that she might be a match for someone you know - then she is waiting to hear from you. She really would like a family to call her own.

Trucker Mickey

|
Adoption Pending!
CongRATs to the Luckett famiy!
Location: Oregon
Trucker Mickey is a 10 year old, large boned Standard Rat Terrier. He was
kept outside and fed fattening foods for the past year until he became an
obese dog. He was also extremely depressed when he came into rescue. Mick's
foster mom has had him on a weight loss program and he has lost 12 pounds
and he has become a happy dog again. Mick loves to go to the doggy park and
socialize with other dogs. He is also extremely happy getting to be an
inside dog again with couch privileges. Mick plays well with other dogs, is
house broken, will sleep anywhere you want him to and is just an all around
good natured dog. Mick is low maintenance but he will warn you if someone
comes to the door. Basically, Mick is a sweet, calm dog who is very grateful
for a scratch behind the ear and a loving word now and then. He is easy to
live with and very loyal.

Teyla

2010-08-25
|
Location: Florida
Teyla’s momma (Bama) was rescued from the streets of Alabama by a wonderful lady who got her the care she needed before her babies were born. Teyla is the only girl out of a litter of 5. She was born July 13, 2010. These pups are Rattie mixes, and are very sweet babies. Teyla loves to see people and will cry to be held close when she sees you. She loves to climb into her foster parents laps. Teyla is being potty pad and paper trained at this time. She is starting her search for her very own forever home. Teyla will be spayed and ready to go live with her forever family by the first to middle part of October. At 6 weeks old Teyla and her brothers are becoming very active, and love to run and romp in their large play pen. They are eating dry food now and need their Momma less each day. Teyla has done fine playing with her two older foster sisters a little bit. Teyla has never been around cats or small children. She should do well with older children who understand that a puppy sometimes nips when playing and means no harm. The pups are starting to learn the “no bite” command, which their foster parents use when they nip during play. Supervision of children with a puppy is always recommended. You can see photos of Teyla and her brothers here. Are you looking for a sweet little girl to share your life with? If so then Teyla may be the girl for you. She loves to cuddle close and loves people. Please don’t wait to apply, girls are very popular and Teyla is so precious she won’t be available for long. Apply today to make this special girl your very own.

Azzaria

Location: New York
Hello! I am Azzaria. I'm a 12 week old puppy that is fostered in Albany, NY. I am paper trained and love to run and play. My foster mom says I am mischievous - and I can even climb out of my x-pen. I am adorable and lovable and I am looking for a forever home. I need a family that is not gone long hours and can dedicate time to exercise me and train me to be a grrrrreat puppy! I would benefit from attending puppy training with my new family once I've had all of my puppy shots. So if you have room for one GREAT puppy please pick me; I promise to make you happy for ever and ever! Here's a link to a some of my baby pix.

Ozzie

|
Adoption Pending!
CongRATs to the DeBoer family!
Location: Oregon
Ozzie (Oz) arrived in Portland, OR from Onslow County, NC. It was a long flight for such a little guy, weighing in at 11 pounds, estimated at 1 year old; little is known about his previous life. Ozzie loves to play with squeaky toys and his foster brother! And, for that matter, pretty much any dog he meets as long as they are aware of how small he is! Ozzie goes to the dog park daily and has learned how much fun it is to be chased by all the other dogs and knows that under the bench is his safe zone when the big dogs get too rowdy. Ozzie is still very much a puppy in his energy level but he's so smart and learning new things daily! He is kennel trained and will put himself to bed when he's exhausted and doesn't mind it when he gets put to bed either. Oz is good with everyone he meets; kids, adults, you name it! He also lives with a cat and isn't very interested him at all to tell you the truth! Ozzie was taught previous to arriving to play bitey-hand with humans as a really fun thing to do and he's learning to play gentle and also learning when that is not appropriate behavior. One of Ozzie's little quirks is shadows. His foster mom likes to call him the Great Shadow Hunter as he will spend countless time chasing them; his foster mom simply redirects his energy to something else, like a squeaky toy, so that he doesn't obsess! Ozzie is young, adorable, smart and ready for his forever home! Because of the "mouth play" his foster mom thinks older kids (over 10) would be best, but younger kids with previous dog experience might be all right with approval. Also, Ozzie would probably do best with another dog in the household to play with or active adopters that will take him out for lots of daily exercise and take him to the dog park regularly to keep up his socialization!
