Thistle female

2017-03-01

Adoption Pending!

CongRATs to the Lampe family!

Location: Nebraska

Hi! My name is Thistle, but I just go by Tissy for short. I am nine months young and ready to have fun! My favorite things are cuddling with my foster parents and playing with the other dogs in the house. I love other little dogs like me and big dogs are okay too as long as they are calm. They gotta understand that that I am only seven pounds! Cats are okay too, but not as fun as my dog sisters! I have not spent much time around children, but I could probably learn to live with them as long as they are calm and gentle with me. New people are a little scary to me still. I was not socialized when I was a baby, so people can still be intimidating if I donít know them. My trust is starting to grow, though. Since I got a late start, I am still working on potty training. I am getting better with practice! I really like to please my people, as I'm still gaining my confidence. I sleep through the night, in bed, without any accidents, and I am crate trained. I am so excited for the day I find my new forever home. To see more pictures of me please click here and visit my album. Would you like to be my family?

Duckie male

2016-11-13

Adoption Pending!

CongRATs to the Montes de Oca family!

Location: Florida

Duckie and his siblings were born 6/24/16. We were blessed with a litter of 5 plump and healthy babies. Because of their coloring, we think their Daddies were an Australian Cattle Dog, and possibly a Border Collie. Duckie was the last pup to be born, and his fostermom worked hard to make sure he survived. He had lots of liquid in his lungs and he couldn't breathe without a gurgling noise, so his fostermom did all the standard steps to clear his lungs. It took a long time, but Duckie did great! He has beautiful markings and his fur is short and soft. Duckie has a little white tip on his tail, and he likes to run around with that white tip up in the air like a flag. His fostermom calls him her special boy, and loves to cuddle him, when he isn't wiggling and trying to kiss her, pull her hair or chew on her glasses. Duckie and his siblings have met kitties in their playroom, and they love to rough and tumble. Whereas these cuties will be a little larger than your average Rat Terriers, they are wonderfully happy, healthy, adorably rolly polly puppies. You can see more of their pictures here in their album. Linus Peanuts male

2016-08-14

Location: Florida

Linus and his brothers were dumped at a trailer park in Miami. The people that found them took them to the shelter even though they were at risk of being put to death there. One of our volunteers saw them and made an immediate plan to get all four of them out.The puppies spent a few days at the vets office because they had upper respiratory infections. Linus is one of the smallest boys, and like the cartoon character, he loves blankets. He has some skin conditions that we are working on; he is on antibiotics and supplements for his skin & coat currently. He is SUCH a sweet boy, and he has tons of love to give. Linus will be available for adoption later in the month, when he is all healed up. Linus is 4 months old. To see more pictures of Linus and the Gang please click here for the Peanuts Gang's album.
