Dollie female

2017-06-11

Location: Florida

Dollie has come so far! She is one of the Rat Terriers we took in from a farm in Loxahatchee, FL where the dogs were all living outside. Her former owners gave none of the dogs vaccines or vet care. Dollie is the first blue & white Rattie puppy our fostermoms in Florida have had the joy of taking care of! Our Dollie was VERY shy when she and her family were caught and brought into Ratbone Rescues, but she has learned to integrate well with a house chocked full of doggies and kitties! She quite enjoys the luxury of sleeping in an air conditioned room on a bed soft bed with her fostermom! Dollie LOVES to wrestle and play before night night - and then she happily tucks herself in against a leg, arm or on the pillow to catch some Z's. Dollie is crate trained, but being a young puppy (only 4 months old), she should be allowed to have a mid-day/lunch potty break. Dollie loves toys and is a real joy to have around, though she can still be shy with new people and new pets - but she has learned that people are A-OK, and especially if they have a tasty treat in their hands! We'd like Dollie to have at least 1 playful (non-aggressive) doggie companion to play with in her adoptive home, as she is used to having other dogs to interact with since she was a baby. Skippy male

2017-06-11

Location: Florida

Cute lil Skippy is ADORABLE!!! This little munchkin is a mash up of a Rat Terrier (Dad) and a Chihuahua (Mom). Skippy is a super sweet little guy, and he likes nothing better in the world than to be carried! He is doing well on his crate-training. Skippy came from a home with both large and small dogs, but he can get overwhelmed when meeting new dogs - especially big ones. Please keep in mind that Skippy is a TINY little boy, so what seems like a large dog to you might seem as big as a dinosaur to Skippy; but he loves to play with dogs that he has met and is comfortable with. Skippy is currently under 5 pounds, and will stay very small due to his lineage; he is 4 months old. To see more pictures of Skippy, please use this link to access his album.

Pluto male

2016-12-23

Location: Florida

Pluto came to us from a kill shelter in Alabama. He sat in the shelter for over a month, and his time was up. Pluto is about 10 months old, weighs around 12 pounds, and loves to give kisses and to play. He is a vocal boy and very handsome. Pluto is crate trained, and is looking for a home with tons of toys! Pluto would do best in a home with another playful dog, and/or someone who works from home. Pluto is the kind of dog who loves to give LOTS of kisses! Roxie female

2017-05-14

Location: Florida

Roxie is cute as a button, and only 8 months old! She is a Rat Terrier/Dachshund mix, and ADORABLE! This girl was turned in with her sister Ruby because the owner had too many dogs. Ruby & Roxie were very frightened at the shelter and needed some TLC, and to learn how to trust again. Roxie likes to play with most dogs, but she can be on the bossy side. She is working on her crate training currently. Roxie is new a arrival, so we'll have more information about her SOON! At this point, we don't yet know how Roxie is with cats, but we do know that she will give "doe eyes" to anyone with a treat. To see more pictures of Roxie, please click here.

Daisy female

2017-04-09

Adopted!

CongRATs to the Boggs family!

Location: Florida

Have you ever seen a creature so tiny and beautiful? Daisy is a gorgeous little girl, not even 5 pounds at 5 months of age. She LOVES dog and cats, and thinks racing around wagging her little tiny white tipped tail is great fun. She has lots of puppy energy, and acts like she's a big girl, even though she isn't. Daisy is paper trained, working on crate training, and she will potty outside in the yard. She is a tiny girl with a tiny puppy bladder, so she shouldn't be left alone for long periods of time. Daisy loves to cuddle up to any and all dogs, but only after she's finished doing her little puppy zoomies. Because Daisy is so tiny - teacup size really - we are restricting her availability to homes with adults only. More pictures of Daisy can be found here in her album.
