Betty female

2017-05-14

I HAVE a secret Santa!

Location: Florida

Our beautiful Betty comes to us from a farm in South Florida. A group of Rat Terriers were living outside, and the people wanted someone to get the dogs off the property. After arriving at her foster home, Betty was shy and withdrawn for the first 2 days, then she ventured out to explore and learn about inside living. Once Betty realized she was in for only good things now, she started to follow her fostermom around the house. Pregnant when she was rescued, Betty gave birth to 4 beautiful boys on May 9, 2017. After her babies were weaned, Betty had heartworm treatment (in July). You can find more pictures of Betty here in her album. Donations toward Betty's expenses are graciously accepted here at this link.

Macy female

I NEED a secret Santa!

Location: Florida

Macy is a beautiful dark blue and white, and the Mama of Maybee and Marty. She and her 2 pups were living on the streets in Georgia, and all 3 of them had skin issues. Macy's skin was the worst of the three, but her coat has gotten MUCH better with a special diet, baths, and supplements. Macy LOVES people, and will sit up for attention. She is a seriously kissy girl, so any potential adopters would have to welcome many, many kisses. Macy has a pronounced underbite but it just adds character to her sweet face. We believe her to be only about one and a half years old. Macy tolerates cats, and gets along fine with mellow dogs.

Patrick male

I HAVE a secret Santa!

Location: Florida

Patrick is a very special Rattie. When we first saw him, he was cowering in the back of his cage at a high kill shelter in Miami, FL. Not much was known about him aside from the fact that there was something wrong with his left eye. He was not able to see out of the eye and it was bulging out a little. Nothing extreme, but he needed to see a specialist. We got him out and immediately he bonded closely to his foster mom. She noticed that he held up his right knee when walking briskly so that was also evaluated; Patrick had a very bad luxating patella (knee) and it needed surgery. His eye would only get worse, so we had a specialist remove his eye and work on his knee. Pat recovered nicely from his surgeries, acting like nothing happened. He no longer cowers in fear, but now has a VERY brave persona. He protects his fostermom from critters like squirrels, cats and large dogs. He is quite the character - loving, affectionate and brave. We are looking for a special home for Pat. He loves long walks and to cuddle on the couch. Pat would prefer to be the only doggie in the home because he wants all the attention to himself. Nemo male

2016-05-25

I HAVE a secret Santa!

Location: Florida

Nemo is a very special little 2 year old boy. We saw his picture at a high kill shelter, and saw that both of his rear legs were broken. We knew he'd need tons of TLC and 2 very expensive surgeries, but we knew his time was short, and we wanted to save him. We got him to a vet for x-rays and contacted a few orthopedic vets to see which one would best suit Nemo's unique needs. We have thankfully raised the funds to pay half of his total bill , and he is doing GREAT post-surgery! Nemo is walking well but has a slight limp on one leg - but he is raring to go go go! Donations are graciously accepted towards Nemo's orthopedic surgeries here. More pictures of Nemo can be seen here in his photo album. We are currently taking applications on this small, special boy.

Jacky female

I HAVE a secret Santa!

Location: Indiana

Hi, my name is Jacky. I'm two years old, spayed, housebroken, and I walk well on a leash. I love people, especially kids. My fostermom says I'm very smart and sweet. I really like going places, and I love to talk. I definitely want a home with a family (kids, please!) who will take me places and can teach me new things. Could that be you? Look here for more pictures of me.
